Even if new oil is pre-filtered, it can still be easily contaminated during the application process if the equipment is not fitted with the right fluid couplers. If fill ports or hatches must be opened to transfer the oil, the contamination introduced by this activity may negate effort spent on filtering the new oil.

The easiest and most effective way to ensure the cleanliness of oil that is added to a reservoir is by transferring the oil with a portable filtration unit from a properly accessorized storage container to the equipment fitted with quick-connect fittings.
