If a thermographer does not properly calibrate their camera to compensate for transmission attenuation the results could be catastrophic misdiagnosis. But what if the thermographer does not know the transmission rate of the IR window?

What if the transmission rate is variable or changing? Thermographers and anyone associated with or managing an electrical preventive maintenance program need to fully understand how this issue could affect their program if not controlled and compensated for.
