For similar assets situated at multiple sites, RCM2 ensures maintenance programs are designed to site specific performance requirements. When applied correctly, RCM2 develops a detailed Operating Context where similar equipment at various sites will have differing environmental conditions impacting performance. A team of operators, maintainers and subject matter experts analyze functions, function failures, failure modes and effects and progress through a methodical decision process to define specific tasks particular to that site.
