In this infrared tip we learn that not every thermal anomaly on a fuse is related just to the connection point or an imbalance. In some instances, fuses can have partial failures of the element on the inside which will cause it to heat. While such a fault might have the appearance of a load imbalance, it is a sign that the fuse needs to be replaced as it is not functioning properly.
