Stanford Health Care, with facilities primarily located in Northern California, is a premier not-for-profit academic healthcare system with leading edge clinical capabilities led by world-renowned Stanford University physicians. This presentation will summarize the Intensive Care Unit Room Initiative, a work execution management program that increased throughput of Intensive Care Rooms by: building a reliability framework, emphasizing teamwork, making numerous process improvements and coordinating effort among multiple departments. The program resulted in significantly reduced wait time for high demand rooms thus helping save more lives. Stanford Health Care is proud and honored to receive the Uptime Award Winner for Best Work Execution Management Program, 2018.
