Using Oracle eAM to establish a Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)

By Jay West, EAM Master LLC

Having a good Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) is critically important for improving reliability and uptime of assets. It is the means by which we collect, quantify and control large amounts of asset failure information so that we can measure performance, spot trends and prioritize our reliability improvement efforts.

Oracle eAM provides all of the basic features and functions required to implement a companywide FRACAS. This webinar will describe these capabilities and explain how they can be used to embed failure tracking into your work order process. We will also illustrate how the native Oracle eAM tools can be used for basic statistical analysis and how other Oracle tools can be used for more complex failure analysis.

We will also provide insightful suggestions and considerations for properly structuring your failure code data to maximize the value of this functionality in a very practical way.
