Responsibilities

  • Lead the conversation on network architecture.
  • Align with product and service teams to shape network design.
  • Manage disparate senior stakeholders to deliver consensus and drive outcomes on the AWS platform.
  • Work with teams to resolve complex networking concerns and problems and achieve security, resilience and compliance outcomes on the AWS platform through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and hands on demonstrations in the AWS environment.
  • Develop industry leading network related resources based on projected needs and current demand.
  • Be and remain connected with industry trends and events primarily in EMEA/USA, but also throughout the world as it relates to industry regulations and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with key industry personnel and policy makers.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures
  • 5+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise-scale networks
  • 5+ years’ experience with network virtualization and/or software defined networks
  • Deep knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and standards
  • Deep knowledge of layer 2 technologies, including MPLS and Ethernet
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Experience speaking publicly in front of large audiences
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.

Preferred

  • Practical experience with computer network security
  • Experience with large-scale, distributed applications
  • Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
  • Track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of business environments such as large enterprises and start-ups.
  • AWS Certification, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate
  • Understanding of application, server, and network security
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Understanding of Email Servers and Bulk Email Providers
