The SEA Electrical team maintains more than 157 miles of electrical cabling, 202 Airfield signs, and over 8000 lights to facilitate landing under adverse visibility conditions. The team began its journey toward Work Performance Optimization with the development of a reliability strategy based on a strong asset management foundation that led to a culture of continuous improvement. As a result, the airfield exceeds performance requirements every year in FAA FAR Part 139 inspection, with no discrepancies. FAR Part 139 is a certification that allows the airport to serve air operations. The FAR Part 139 inspection is conducted yearly and includes evaluations of runway/taxiway and apron lighting and signage, pavement marking, airport beacon, wind cone, lighting, and obstruction lighting for compliance with the FAA.

You can ask anything about maintenance, reliability, and asset management.
