San Jose Water (SJW) is an investor-owned utility providing water service to over 1 Million people in the Silicon Valley and greater San Jose metropolitan area. SJW embarked on a multi-year project to implement HxGN EAM for various departments. In 2021, SJW successfully implemented HxGN EAM for its Operations department and Treatment Plant department. SJW also is on track to implement HxGN EAM for its Distribution Systems department and for its entire Fleet in the near future. SJW’s EAM system will feature GIS mapping functionalities, integrations with customer systems, fueling systems, and telematics systems. SJW is also currently working on EAM safety features to help ensure worker safety. This presentation will provide an overview of the implementation efforts, successes and challenges, lessons learned, plans for further enhancements, and our vision for expanding the reach of HxGN EAM in the organization.
