A culture of proactive lubrication can be hard to build and even more difficult to sustain, it’s not about products or frequency of tasks, it’s about the people. At Central San we have groups of motivated employees supported by executive sponsorship. We have continuity of core knowledge through certification and take ownership of our products and standard best practices. Using gap analysis and training to identify issues, we have implemented many changes increasing reliability which has led to low levels of reactive maintenance. Lastly, we invested in precision lubrication equipment and techniques. This allows technicians to feel more impactful during maintenance tasks.
