Reliability is everyone’s business. For 10 years, only 5 people in our business unit had taken the CRL training course, but the entire Reliability Engineering team had been managing this key function in accordance with Uptime Elements principles. In 2024, we achieved executive sponsorship to identify 20 additional candidates in four different parts of the country to become CRLs. These new CRLs are reliability staff and building engineers, operations leaders and technical planners.
This new pool of CRLs led to a coordinated initiative to identify new work efforts that promote the principles of Reliability to bring value to our business unit. All 25 CRLs are participating and by the end of 2024, over 50 mastery belt completions will be submitted. This program will grow the team of CRLs in 2025 with the expected achievement of 75 additional mastery belts and five Black Belts.
