Reliabilityweb CBM Engineer / Analyst

As a member of the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) & Machinery Diagnostics team, this position is responsible for testing, analysis, and support for all generating facilities (Fossil, Hydro, Nuclear, Gas, Renewables, and Distributed) within the Southern Company fleet. The position will have a wide variety of individual and team work assignments in testing, analyzing, and evaluating solutions. This position will also provide diagnostics and analytics support to the Operations Monitoring & Diagnostic Center.

Responsibilities include:

* Providing expert diagnosis and support in one or more of (Vibration Diagnostics, Infrared Thermography, Tribology, Motor Diagnostics, Acoustics, Ultrasound, and other techniques). * Supporting Plant CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) Specialists, System Owners, M&D Analysts, and others to resolve equipment and process issues. * Providing on-site and remote monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting for plant equipment, components, and structures * Providing oral and written communication of findings and recommendations to all levels of the organization. * Actively participating in internal and industry groups to develop, advance, and implement techniques to ensure that Southern Company’s CBM and Diagnostic processes are the best of the best, and that they support the company’s goals. * Providing both formal and informal training and knowledge transfer to improve the overall effectiveness of vibration diagnostic efforts across the fleet.
