Hypertherm, a U.S. based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, today announced the release of a new preventive maintenance program designed to help its customers maximize the performance and life of their Hypertherm HyPerformance® plasma cutting systems.
Just as most cars require an oil change after several thousand miles, all plasma systems require regular maintenance for optimum performance. The new Hypertherm program shows end users how to inspect their system, provides easy to follow cleaning and maintenance checklists, and contains a suggested replacement schedule for components that wear out with time.
A number of factors influence the particular maintenance requirements for a plasma system. Those factors include system configuration, usage level, environmental conditions, and job specifics such as the type, thickness, and complexity of parts being cut. As such, the program takes those factors into consideration and includes the ability to order pre-assembled kits based on the needs of each individual customer.
“Though Hypertherm systems are engineered and carefully manufactured to offer the most reliable and consistent performance in the industry, preventive maintenance is still key to optimizing system output, reducing unplanned down time, and minimizing operating costs,” explained Clayton Gould, a product marketing manager at Hypertherm. “These new kits will make it as easy as possible for our customers to properly care for and maintain their systems and ensure they enjoy the performance Hypertherm systems are designed to deliver.”
In addition to these new kits for HyPerformance plasma systems, Hypertherm also offers a preventive maintenance program for its entire line of mechanized systems including its MAX200®, MAXPRO200®, HD3070®, HD4070®, and HT4400®. Customers should consult their owner’s manual or contact an authorized Hypertherm distributor or table manufacturer to learn more.
