Maintenance organizations are responsible for maintaining a wide array of assets that support manufacturing and operations. These assets are expected to perform as designed and so the operations and maintenance teams typically assign safeguards such as operator care, spare parts and PM programs to insure reliability. The importance of understanding both inherent and residual risk profiles associated with a subset of critical assets is mission critical for achieving reliability in operations.
This overview presentation is intended to provide participants with a risk management methodology that can be readily applied to their reliability programs. The presenter will also review a safeguard robustness tool, and a case study will be presented such that the practical application of this risk management approach will be understood.
