From Strategy to Implementation: Improving Reliability at Rijeka Refinery (Croatia)

TRC-2019 Learning Session 42:58

by Goran Surina, MOL Group and Johan Ferket, Stork/Fluor

The aim of the project is to set-up and run preventive maintenance in SAP PM module with all necessary activities and preparation, implementation for HCC Complex with auto generation of work orders and all related processes. Starting with a criticality analysis we determined the assets who deliver the most value for INA Refinery. For high critical equipment, a risk-based maintenance plan has been developed using RCM/FMEA methodology. The outcome are risk-based maintenance tasks which will be transformed into workable maintenance plans in SAP. Less critical assets have been analyzed using a more generic FMEA approach defining a type specific asset strategy that can be applied to a large number of identical or virtually identical assets in similar process conditions. This pilot project has set the foundation for further roll-out within Rijeka Refinery and within MOL Group.
