Allied Reliability Announces New CEO

Allied Reliability announced today that Raj Sengupta will be appointed CEO, succeeding Kevin Bourbonnais, effective June 1st. Bourbonnais will be stepping down to pursue other interests.

Over the past three years, Bourbonnais led Allied through challenging markets and significant evolution resulting in a strategic acquisition by Shell. Since December, Bourbonnais and Sengupta have worked closely together to ensure a smooth transition.

“Raj brings a record of success to his new role. His most recent roles include managing mergers, acquisitions, and divestments and being the General Manager of Shell’s Alpha Olefin business. Additionally, Raj has experience in commercial, strategy, technology, and manufacturing across a diverse customer and market base,” Bourbonnais said. “He is known for his care for people, focus on deepening customer relationships, and value delivery.”

Sengupta graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He currently serves on the board of the Chemical Educational Foundation, a STEM non-profit that inspires students to build a better world through the science of chemistry. Raj is married with two boys and will be based out of the Allied corporate offices in Houston.

“Kevin’s leadership helped solidify Allied Reliability as an industry-leading platform for reliability solutions, and I am grateful for his guidance through this transition. I am humbled and excited to join Allied Reliability as we move into the next chapter of growth to deliver the services and solutions our customers need to improve the health of their assets in collaboration with our team of experts.”

The acquisition of Allied will expand Shell Lubricant’s industrial services throughout North America. This will help the business transform from a products-based player to a leader in services and solutions, thereby accelerating profitable growth. Allied will run as an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Shell Lubricants.
