A half hour long webinar on demand by Patrick Lawrence of VibrAlign

The use of lasers in measuring misalignment has improved the shaft alignment process. Thousands of laser-based measuring tools have been sold over the past 20+ years. No doubt, laser systems have eliminated many errors and simplified the process used to measure misalignment. However, after all these years, we have not dramatically changed or improved the basic process used to correct misalignment. The way we have been correcting misalignment is inefficient, time consuming and frustrating to those who have to move machines to make proper alignments. It's time to learn some new moves.

Successful Solution to the Challenge of Low RPM Bearing Monitoring

By Tim Sundström

Low RPM applications have been notoriously difficult to monitor with traditional vibration-based techniques. The energy involved at RPMs below 50 is very low, making it a difficult task to extract meaningful information from the measured signal.

Fundamental Vibration Analysis

Fundamental Vibration Analysis

A 60-minute web workshop presented by Christopher R. Keniston, Customer Success Engineer Inc, Commtest

Implementing a Vibration Analysis program can be a considerable investment of time and resources. Realizing a significant Return-on-Investment requires the ability to capture and interpret relevant data, then take appropriate maintenance actions. Therein lies the primary obstacle to success. Regardless of whose products are used, you must understand what the technology is showing you. Our intent is to demonstrate that a fundamental understanding of this technology does not require highly-specialized training or an advanced degree. All one really needs is familiarity with the machine being monitored.

Watch this webinar to learn:

1) Understand fundamental sources of machine vibration.

2) Understand basic terms associated with Vibration Analysis.

3) Recognize several common FFT spectrum vibration signatures.
