VibrAlign Introduces the Live Advice Feature for the ONEPROD HAWK Machinery Diagnostic Tool

RICHMOND, VA - April 14, 2016 - VibrAlign Inc., exclusive U.S. distributor of ONEPROD brand condition monitoring hardware and software, expands the capabilities of the ONEPROD HAWK machinery diagnostic tool with the addition of the live Advice Button. Live Advice connects the user with vibration experts from VibrAlign's longtime partner, Reliability Point. Designed to provide analytical support, the Advice button team at Reliability Point team brings more than 40 years of condition monitoring expertise to HAWK users.

Launched in the U.S. in April of 2015, the HAWK is a machinery diagnostic tool designed to give mechanics instant, on-demand feedback about the health of their rotating assets. The HAWK will identify machine defects, provide advice on how to fix the problem, and generate a detailed report on the health of the machine.

Now the diagnostic capabilities of the HAWK will be greatly enhanced by the addition of the Advice button. Most often the HAWK's diagnosis and advice is straightforward. In some cases, however, the HAWK's diagnosis may be more complex, identifying more than one machine issue. This can mean that the HAWK may even recommend more than one next step. To deal with complex machine issues and solutions users who are asking "what's next" can turn to the Advice button to get counsel from the condition monitoring experts at Reliability Point.

When the user clicks on the Advice button in their NEST software an email is sent to the team at Reliability Point. Within 2 hours the user will receive a phone call confirming that the request has been received. Reliability Point will download the user's data from the NEST for analysis. Within 24 hours the customer will be contacted by phone for a consultation with one of Reliability Point's experts.

Advice tokens can be purchased in bundles or via subscription from Reliability Point. Each new HAWK comes pre-loaded with 5 free Advice tokens so that users can try the Advice function. Note that the Advice function is not designed to deliver technical support to HAWK users, but rather to connect the user with vibration experts who can clarify their machinery diagnosis and next steps.

With the new Advice button, an expert is just a click away. To learn more about the HAWK live Advice feature, contact either Brian Shanovich at brian.shanovich@vibralign.com or Mike Arnold at marnold@reliabilitypoint.com.

More About the Hawk:

The HAWK is a mechanic's tool. With its straightforward three-step process and graphical user interface the HAWK requires zero vibration expertise or certification. Users build their machine in the NEST software app, take readings with the wired or optional wireless tri-axial sensor, and the HAWK then generates advice that mechanics can use right away. With no need for scheduling or route planning, the HAWK empowers mechanics to check the health of their machines when and where they need to. It is ideal for checking a machine after installation, post-repair, or anytime between reliability check-ins.

Industry 5.0 Is Empowering Today’s Factory Workers and It’s a Long Overdue Revolution

The impacts of Industry 4.0 and its younger sibling, Industry 5.0, fall right down to today’s factory workers. While embedded automation and optimization within the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0 have the power to drive new efficiencies, they have also led to the introduction of more complex job roles and tasks, but for fewer frontline workers.

From Data to Action: The Complex Path of Advanced Analytics and Reliability in Industry

In today's industrial landscape, the buzz around advanced analytics is hard to ignore. Companies are increasingly looking to harness the power of data to drive efficiency, reduce downtime, and gain a competitive edge. However, the journey from collecting data to taking actionable steps based on that data is far from straightforward.

Engaging and Retaining the Asset Management Workforce

Employee engagement and retention are critical for the success of asset management organizations. High turnover rates and labor shortages pose significant challenges, impacting operational efficiency, safety and overall workforce morale.

Do or Do Not

Data analysis is critical to understanding problems and decision-making. Analysis that is not followed up by an action is likely a wasted opportunity, but not always.

Achieving Trouble Free Bearing Life Through Defect Elimination

When a machine is designed, one of the major considerations the engineer must make is the selection of proper rolling element bearings. Some of the factors to consider in selecting bearings are shaft speeds, loads (both axial and radial), the environment they will run in, how to relube them, the duty cycle, etc.

Who Does This Belong To?

In today’s fast-paced connected world, you and your organization create an abundance of data. In the past, large corporations with multiple locations relied on in person site visits or information provided by the on-site team for updates to productivity in facilities. But what if there was a way to do this remotely?
